2023 has been a great year for Oxygenserv, marked by robust growth and exciting challenges. Our dedication to innovation and quality of service was crowned by the award of an honorary loan from the Fondation Paris Dauphine (our incubator) and Initiative Grandes Ecoles & BPI – fantastic news that marks a decisive turning point for our project and the improvement of our services!

The year 2023 saw the considerable expansion of our catalogue with the introduction of the Ark Cloud Server offer, the only offer on the market that allows automatic installation of Ark Ascended and Ark Evolved versions while respecting the exclusivity contract sealed between Nitrado and Willcard. In addition, our range of games has been enhanced with the integration of NovaLife, our loyal partner since 2022, as well as new offerings such as Valheim, The Front and GTA 5.
This expansion has enabled us to double our range of games, demonstrating our constant progress and our ability to meet our customers’ expectations.
🛠️ We have introduced a series of new features to improve the user experience of our services, focusing on important functions that can save you time in managing your server.
Hibernation Mode was introduced in September. This is a real revolution in the sector, as it allows users to pause their server at a fraction of the cost (between €1 and €2) while keeping their data and configurations.
A much sought-after feature, this year we’ve rolled out the option of being able to change offers during the period without losing data. If your performance is too low, you can change your offer directly from the dashboard and switch to a higher offer. You can also change your renewal cycle! If the offer is too expensive, you can switch to a lower offer – clever, eh?
These new features are accompanied by the addition of more than 50 improvements of all kinds to our dashboard. Some notable examples include the addition of a feature to open the console in full screen, the integration of colours in the console for improved readability, the ability to create custom domain names for servers and the redesign of the installation system on Minecraft.
We know that service security is a major concern for you, and for us too. That’s why we’ve stepped up the protection of our servers with substantial improvements to anti-DDoS protection in conjunction with the datacentre’s network teams: development of new, more precise filters for games, protection activated on all our service ports. Substantial investment has also been made to deploy a new, more powerful protection system developed by f5 (still in the testing phase).
We have also developed an automatic backup system (backups are outsourced to several datacentres), which preserves server and database data on a daily basis (currently on pause, but due to resume early next year). Finally, to better monitor the behaviour of your servers, all services are now monitored 24 hours a day.
In June, we took a further step towards improving our customer service with the launch of our https://docs.oxygenserv.com/platform . This site features over twenty detailed tutorials designed to help our customers get the most out of our services. From initial configuration to advanced optimisation tips, this information-packed resource is a real asset for anyone wishing to fully explore the capabilities of our hosting offerings.
We’ve welcomed Communauté Minecraft Fr, one of the largest Minecraft communities in France, and established a partnership with Valheim France, strengthening our presence in both games. In addition, our collaboration with Find Your Dev offers new opportunities for game server developers. In addition, our partnership with ESX, a leader in roleplay server frameworks on FiveM , strengthens our position in the roleplay server sector on FiveM. These strategic alliances illustrate our commitment to the gamer community to better integrate gamers’ needs into our offering.
Our rapid growth has presented us with some unique challenges. This year, we have had to deal with unforeseen technical incidents, including a major power failure in our Nanterre datacentre in August, followed by a double loss of electrical lines requiring the backup generator to be switched on in December. Add to this an increase in denial of service attacks on our APIs and servers.

These events tested our robustness and our ability to adapt quickly. Our protocols and procedures have evolved significantly, enabling us to minimise the impact of these incidents on the quality of our services.
On the strength of the acquisition of the loan, we are ready to invest further in the development of our services and in our infrastructure (which, if you’re curious, has tripled in computing power since the start of the year).
Our ambition? To continue innovating to offer ever more resilient, high-performance services, in line with the evolving expectations of the sector.
