The Minecraft 1.21.2 update is finally here, bringing its share of new features, tweaks and improvements :).
Whether you’re a creative builder or an intrepid adventurer, this version of Minecraft introduces new features and tweaks that promise to enrich your gaming experience even further, and fits in with Minecraft’s new vision of smaller, more regular updates.
What’s new in Minecraft 1.21.2?
The Pockets : A new way to manage your inventory
One of the main new features of Minecraft 1.21.2 is the introduction of bundles, a handy item for improving inventory management. With bundles, you can store multiple items inside a single inventory slot, giving you better organization during your adventures. It lets you group several items in a single space, with a maximum capacity of 64 units.
- How do I use them? You can right-click to open the pocket and insert or remove items. Ideal for carrying several types of resources while optimizing space.
- Recipe: Pouches can be created using leather and string.
Colored glass blocks
The update also adds new colored glass blocks, allowing players to create even more varied constructions. Now you can customize your creations with a wider range of colors, ideal for windows, stained glass and architectural works of art.
- Optical effects: colored glass can now interact with sunlight in different ways depending on the color used, adding an immersive touch to your creations.
Structural and balancing adjustments
The developers have also made adjustments to randomly generated structures in Minecraft 1.21.2. Villages, abandoned mines and other structures now appear with additional variations, making each exploration unique.
In addition, several adjustments have been made to improve the balancing of the game:
- Mob appearance: Adjustments to appearance rates have been made to balance out the difficulty in certain areas.
- Item changes: Some rare items, such as diamonds and enchanted books, are now harder to obtain, adding to the challenge of the game.
New controls and technical improvements
Players who like to customize their gameplay or multiplayer via servers using commands will be delighted to discover new features in Minecraft 1.21.2. The new mob control commands allow players to fine-tune the behavior of monsters, which is perfect for creating customized scenarios in creative mode or for game servers.
In addition, the game’s performance optimization has been reviewed, with notable improvements in fluidity when new structures appear, as well as better handling of graphic resources, particularly useful for low-configuration machines.
