Managing a V Rising server requires a clear understanding of the administrative tools available. This guide explains how to obtain and use administrator rights to maintain order and quality of play on your V Rising server.
To begin, open the adminlist.txt file located in ~/VRisingServer_Data/StreamingAssets/Settings/. Add your steamID64 to this file, placing one ID per line. You can use the steamid.io website to find it.
This can be done without restarting your server 🙂
Connect to your server, in the V Rising options menu, activate the game console. Start the game console by pressing the ` (bass) key.
In the console, type the command adminauth followed by your steamID64 to authenticate as administrator. This step gives you access to a range of administrative commands.
Now as administrator, you can use commands such as banuser, unban, and kick to manage players. These commands help you control access to the server and maintain a fair playing environment.
