You finally have your Satisfactory server and are ready to dive into the multiplayer adventure with your friends? Follow this step-by-step guide to easily join your server and start building the factory of your dreams.
Step 1: Start the server from the Dashboard
The first thing to do is launch your server. To do this, open your favourite browser, whether Chrome, Firefox or other, and go to the server management interface at this address: https://dashboard.oxygenserv.com. Once you have logged in to your account, start the server from the Dashboard.
The Satisfactory server takes a little time to start up, especially the first time. Wait about 5 minutes until everything is up and running.
Step 2: Start the Satisfactory game
Once the server is up and running, open Satisfactory on your computer.
Step 3: Access server management
Unlike other multiplayer games, you cannot connect directly to the server simply by entering the IP address. You have to go through the game’s dedicated menu.
In the game’s main menu, select “Server management”. This step is mandatory to configure your server correctly.
Step 4: Add your server
Once in server management, click on “Add a server” to begin configuration.
Next, you will need to enter your server details. Enter :
- The IP address of your server in the “Address” field.
- The port in the “Port” field.
This information is essential to establish the connection.
Step 5: Confirm the certificate
Satisfactory will probably ask you to validate the server’s security certificate. Simply confirm this step to continue.
Once connected, it’s time to claim the server by assigning it a name. This allows you to be recognised as the server administrator.
Step 6: Create an Administrator password
You will then be asked to create an administrator password. This password is crucial for managing the server. Do not share it with your friends, it is reserved for the administrator.
Step 7: Create a password for players
You will then need to set a protective password, which you will share with your friends so that they can join your game. This password will ensure that only authorised players can access your server.
If you have problems with any of the passwords (or if you want to change them), you can change them at any time in the server settings.
Step 8: Getting to know the “Auto Pause” option
One last point not to be overlooked: in the server settings, you’ll find an option called ‘auto pause’. If this is enabled, the server will automatically pause as soon as all players log off. This can be handy for saving resources, but if you prefer the server to remain active at all times, don’t forget to disable this option.
