Looking to optimise your server for an epic gaming experience? Here’s what you need to know about the recommended specifications for your Enshrouded server. Whether you’re a group of friends or a larger community, these tips are for you!
Small group (4-6 players)
For a group of friends who like to play together:
- CPU: A good old Intel Core i7 at 3.2 GHz (or AMD equivalent) should do the trick. Think 6 Cores, 12 Threads to keep things running smoothly.
- RAM: 16 GB, because nobody likes lags.
- SSD Storage: Keep 30 GB free for installation, and a little extra 100mb for each world you create.
- Internet: Each player should have a 2mbit/sec upload connection. Make sure the connection is as fast when downloading.
Larger groups (up to 16 players)
For those who like a lively game:
- CPU: Upgrade to an Intel Core i7 at 3.7 GHz or AMD equivalent, with 8 Cores (16 Threads) so everyone can have uninterrupted fun.
- RAM: 10 GB is always the sweet spot.
- SSD storage: Same deal, 30 GB of free space and 100mb extra per world.
- Internet: Still 2mbit/sec upload per player to keep everyone in sync.
Server RAM usage
An important point:
- When idle, the server process uses around 4.4 GB of physical RAM.
- Each player adds up to 100 MB of extra RAM.
- In all, your server should not exceed 6 GB of physical RAM (according to the game’s documentation, we’re waiting to see if this is true in practice).
