With the success of Arma 3, expectations for Arma 4 are naturally high. Fans are hoping to see improvements in the areas of AI, graphics, physics and gameplay. In addition, the modding community, which has always been at the heart of the Arma series, is eager to see what new features and tools will be made available to them.
Arma Reforger, the precursor to Arma 4, is still in development, but it has already made a lot of progress in recent months 😱
The game has been in early access since 20 July 2023, and the developers seem determined to improve the gameplay experience. Bohemia Interactive has recently released major updates that bring new features and improvements, let’s find out :)
🚑 Health System
One of the most notable updates concerns the health system and personal protective equipment. Now, as a doctor in the game, you must examine the patient before you can administer the appropriate treatment.
You can also resuscitate seriously injured team-mates. A medical vehicle has been added for each side, adding a new dimension to the care of the wounded.
🔫 Weapon deployment and object placement
Another interesting feature is the ability to lean on a support with any weapon, whether it’s equipped with a bipod or not. This update adds an extra layer of realism and tactics to the gameplay.
An improved item placement system has also been added, allowing players to easily place items from their inventory in the environment.
Arma Reforger is far from being an abandoned project. Recent updates show a commitment from Bohemia Interactive to improve and enrich the game. Although the initial reception was mixed, these developments could well change the game and attract a wider player base in the future.
