Installing mods on a Palworld server requires adjustments to both your game and the server. This process requires the use of specific tools, such as UE4SS, which simplify the addition and management of mods by providing a reliable and user-friendly method. In this tutorial, we will focus on the use of UE4SS, recognised as the best and easiest way to customise your Palworld experience.
For our Oyxgenserv 😍 customers, we have automated the system so that when you create your server you can select the “Palworld Windows” version, which includes all the dependencies needed for the mods to work. You can change version at any time from the “Installation” tab on your dashboard.
For other users :
Download the latest version of UE4SS in zip format (named UE4SS_v3.XX.zip). From the Steam library, right-click on your Palworld game and select “Manage” then “Browse local files”. In the file manager that opens, navigate to \SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\PalPalPalBinaries\Win64.
Move the downloaded archive into this folder and unzip it. That’s it 🙂

Before installing a mod, make sure it is compatible with multiplayer gaming. For example, for the “Carry weight increase” mod, look for something like “The latest version of this mod works on dedicated servers” in the description. The mod must work in multiplayer mode.
Next, follow the installation steps specified in the description, generally all you need to do is download the mod archive and extract it into Palworld\Palinaries\Win64\Mod (on our Oxygenserv interface we advise you to bookmark the folder to find it easily) on both your server AND your game (the mod must be present on your game and the server for all players). You do not need to follow the steps to install UE4SS as you have already done so previously.
